Job summary

Pendle View Primary School in Colne is seeking a Teaching Assistant Level 3 to join our outstanding staff. This part-time, term-time only role supports the whole class and assists the teacher during meetings and PPA time.

Experience of working in a special school environment is essential. The post is paid pro rata for term-time, with DBS checks and safeguarding responsibilities emphasised.

Qualifications

• Essential: NVQ Level 3 or above.
• GCSE Maths and English Language at A*-C or equivalent.
• Experience of working with children as at least TA2b within a Special School environment.

Responsibilities

• Support the whole class and plan/teach when the teacher is out at meetings or on PPA time.
• Assist with planning and teaching class activities.
• Support pupils with challenging behaviour and/or medical needs within a special school environment.
• Carry out administrative tasks within the classroom.
