Job summary

WSP is seeking a skilled project planner for energy transmission projects in the UK. You will shape and control programme schedules, coordinate with engineering and design teams, and ensure timely delivery across the lifecycle of complex energy infrastructure.

The role requires strong hands-on experience with Primavera P6, NEC4 contracts knowledge, and the ability to liaise with project managers, design managers and clients to agree assumptions and manage risks.

Qualifications

• Minimum of an HNC in a relevant engineering or construction discipline.
• Experience in developing and maintaining project programmes for energy transmission and distribution projects in the UK.
• Knowledge of NEC4 contracts desirable.
• Strong knowledge of Primavera P6, with ability to manage dependencies and resource loading.

Responsibilities

• Develop, maintain and challenge robust project programmes with clear logic and critical path.
• Define deliverables, design review periods, client approvals and programme assumptions.
• Identify and manage programme interfaces, risks, opportunities and change impacts across teams and stakeholders.
• Create and manage fully integrated programmes including resource loading and milestones.
• Monitor and report progress against baselines, analyze float and delays, and forecast completion.
• Support cost forecasting, resource planning, change management, and reporting with programme inputs.
• Coordinate sequencing of design activities and interfaces to support timely delivery.
• Support bid teams in tender programme development and planning assumptions.
