Job summary
NP Aerospace is seeking an experienced Principal Engineer to provide technical leadership across Protected Mobility programmes, uniting systems engineering, vehicle technology and armour expertise to deliver robust defence solutions.
You will lead across the full engineering lifecycle from concept through design, integration and production, guiding teams, suppliers and customers to translate engineering work into real-world military capability.
Qualifications
- Degree qualified in an engineering discipline.
- Experience leading activities on engineering development programmes.
- Experience with SysML for system design and analysis.
- Experience across the full systems engineering lifecycle.
- Willingness to travel within UK/overseas.
- Ability to hold UK Security Clearance (SC).
- Chartered Engineer status (CEng) with IET/IMechE).
Responsibilities
- Provide systems engineering leadership across Protected Mobility programmes.
- Analyse and flow down system requirements and develop architectures.
- Engage with subcontractors and suppliers through design, integration, test.
- Contribute to design reviews and brief senior leadership.
- Support lifecycle from concept to production and drive resolutions.
