Job summary

Graphcore, a UK-based AI compute company, is hiring engineers to measure and evaluate large-scale Linux systems—from a single rack to data-centre scale. You will design workloads, build execution systems, and interpret results to decide whether a system is ready for production.

Joining this team means you won’t be confined to a narrow role: some engineers focus on infrastructure, others on workloads or analysis, but everyone helps ensure the overall system behaves reliably at scale.

Qualifications

• Strong software engineering experience across multiple projects or systems.
• Experience working in Linux-based environments, ideally with distributed or high-performance systems.
• Proficiency in Python.
• Experience with automation and CI/CD systems (e.g. GitLab CI, Jenkins, GitHub Actions).
• Ability to design, implement, and run experiments that produce meaningful results.
• Ability to interpret results and communicate findings clearly, for decision-making.
• Comfortable working where requirements are not fully defined and judgement is required.

Responsibilities

• Expand measurement coverage from small clusters to full racks.
• Design workloads that expose system behaviour.
• Build systems to run experiments across large clusters.
• Interpret results and define what “good enough” looks like.
