Job summary

Graphcore is seeking a Senior Systems Engineer to explore a next-generation AI architecture from rack scale to data centre scale. You will design experiments, benchmark AI workloads and study how hardware and software interact at scale.

You don't need to be an AI expert, but you should bring strong judgement, curiosity and a clear preference for evidence over opinion. You will love this role if you enjoy challenging problems with measurable results.

Qualifications

• Comfortable using Python to write tests, automate tasks, analyse data or develop engineering tools.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• A curiosity-driven approach to investigating complex systems.
• Ability to explain technical findings clearly, using accurate and reproducible evidence.
• Experience or interest in AI workloads, systems architecture, parallel and distributed computing, automation, containers or orchestration.

Responsibilities

• Design experiments and benchmark AI workloads at scale.
• Explore how hardware components and software interact across the stack.
• Develop tooling to collect, analyse and visualise system metrics.
• Turn observations into measurements when behaviour is unexpected.
