Job summary

Scantec is seeking a Systems Engineer in Derby for a major defence programme. You will shape system requirements, interfaces and architecture, and keep safety information controlled across engineering data. Requires graduate level plus 3 years' experience and eligibility for UK SC clearance, with four days on client site.

The role emphasizes collaborating with safety teams, engineering staff, project management, and documents control while using DOORS and Capella for MBSE tasks.

Qualifications

• Degree in engineering or a STEM subject, or equivalent demonstrated experience.
• Three years' experience as an engineer or senior engineer.
• Understanding of systems thinking and systems engineering processes.

Responsibilities

• Produce and manage requirement specifications.
• Manage interfaces between mechanical, electrical and process systems.
• Define system architecture and model system functions and interfaces.
• Work with requirements management tools (DOORS preferred) and model-based systems engineering software (Capella preferred).
• Coordinate safety information in a DOORS safety module and model safety case decomposition.
