Job summary

Advanced Resource Managers in Reading, Berkshire, is seeking a Senior Systems Engineer (MBSE Specialist) on a 12-month contract. You will drive model-based systems engineering practices, manage complex engineering models, and develop clear MBSE visualisations for stakeholders across the business.

The role requires strong MBSE experience, SQL/database management, data analysis and verification strategies, plus the ability to engage with business leaders and subject-matter experts to deliver

Qualifications

• Strong MBSE experience and ability to manage and maintain complex engineering models.
• Experience in data analysis, reporting and visualisation.
• Proficiency in SQL/database management.
• Strong stakeholder engagement and communication skills.
• Experience in verification and validation strategies within engineering.
• Familiarity with MBSE-related tooling and integration across systems.

Responsibilities

• Support MBSE practices including requirements management, interface definition, trade studies, and interdisciplinary integration.
• Maintain and ensure consistency and usability of engineering models across the user base.
• Optimise model deployment and reporting capabilities with clear visualisations for stakeholders.
• Support development and integration of MBSE models with other tools and systems.
• Prepare and analyse performance metrics to monitor effectiveness and identify improvements.
• Engage with stakeholders including business leaders and SMEs.
• Develop and implement verification strategies to ensure accuracy, traceability and reliability of data and analyses.
• Maintain and support the organisation's SQL database, ensuring data integrity, accuracy, and availability.

Key Responsibilities

• Support model-based systems engineering (MBSE) practices, including:
  • Requirements management
  • Interface definition
  • Trade studies
  • Interdisciplinary integration and analysis
• Maintain and ensure consistency, integrity, and usability of engineering models across the user base
• Optimise model deployment and reporting capabilities, developing clear and accessible visualisations for stakeholders
• Support the development, maturity, and integration of MBSE models with other tools and systems within the organisation
• Prepare and analyse performance metrics to monitor effectiveness and identify areas for improvement
• Engage with a broad range of stakeholders, including business leaders and subject matter experts
• Develop and implement verification strategies to ensure:
