Job summary

General Dynamics Mission Systems - United Kingdom seeks a Senior Systems Engineer to own the development of Digital IO cards, including FPGA integration, applying MBSE to new products and guiding existing product lines.

You will collaborate across mechanical, hardware, firmware and software teams to ensure seamless integration, drive MBSE practices, maintain SysMLv2 models and documentation, and lead design reviews in a defence-focused environment.

Qualifications

• Experience in systems engineering with hardware design focus.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities with attention to detail.
• Familiarity with CAD tools, simulation software and modeling platforms.
• Knowledge of processor architectures and system-level design.

Responsibilities

• Establish and build SysMLv2 requirements models for new Digital IO card developments.
• Own the Verification & Validation (V&V) cycle with traceability to requirements.
• Collaborate with mechanical, hardware, firmware, and software teams for system integration.
• Lead design reviews and mentor junior engineers in MBSE practices.
• Ensure designs comply with industry standards and regulatory requirements.
