Job summary

General Dynamics Mission Systems is seeking a Senior Systems Engineer to own the MBSE-driven development of processor-based VPX cards used across defence projects. You will drive technical excellence, implement MBSE on new products, and oversee model-based approaches on existing product lines while coordinating documentation during the transition.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in systems engineering with a focus on processor or hardware design.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities with meticulous attention to detail.
• Familiarity with CAD tools, simulation software, and technical modelling platforms.
• In-depth knowledge of processor architectures and system-level design principles.
• Experience with hardware validation, testing methodologies, and performance analysis.
• Excellent technical documentation and communication skills.
• Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively within multidisciplinary engineering teams.

Responsibilities

• Establish and build SysMLv2 requirements models for new processor-based card developments.
• Own the Verification & Validation cycle with full traceability to requirements models.
• Collaborate with mechanical, hardware, firmware and software teams for seamless integration.
• Lead technical design reviews and guide junior engineers in MBSE methodologies.
• Ensure designs comply with industry standards and regulatory requirements.
