Job summary

ALTEN is a global engineering consultancy. We are seeking a Systems Engineer to support development and integration of complex technology-driven products across the systems lifecycle, in a Plymouth-based, on-site role with 3 days per week on-site.

The position requires 5+ years of experience and SC clearance eligibility. Join ALTEN to work across hardware and software domains, shaping system requirements, verification plans, and lifecycle engineering activities within a collaborative team

Qualifications

• Experience applying systems engineering principles across the product development lifecycle.
• Experience capturing, managing, and tracing requirements within a requirements-driven environment.
• Strong understanding of system integration, verification, and validation activities.
• Experience supporting hardware and software integration across complex systems.
• Ability to analyse technical requirements, system performance, and engineering risks.

Responsibilities

• Define, manage, and maintain system requirements throughout development.
• Support system integration activities across hardware and software domains.
• Develop verification and validation strategies and execute associated activities.
• Analyse system performance and investigate technical issues.
• Support stakeholder reviews, requirements capture, and technical documentation.
• Contribute to system design and lifecycle engineering activities.
