Job summary

General Dynamics Mission Systems UK is seeking a Senior Systems Engineer to shape core technology platforms deployed across next-generation military aircraft. You will lead development of common Digital IO cards, including FPGA-based solutions, and champion MBSE adoption across disciplines.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in systems engineering with a focus on processor or hardware design.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities with meticulous attention to detail.
• Knowledge of FPGA architectures and system-level design principles.
• Excellent technical documentation and communication skills.
• Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively within multidisciplinary engineering teams.

Responsibilities

• Create SysMLv2 requirements models for new Digital IO cards and ensure traceability.
• Own the V&V cycle with full sign-off and traceability to requirements.
• Collaborate with mechanical, hardware, firmware, and software teams for integration and MBSE adoption.
• Lead design reviews and mentor junior engineers; develop design docs and SysMLv2 models.
• Ensure designs comply with industry standards and inform future strategy via tech trends.
