As a Senior Systems Engineer, you will be a member of a specialised engineering team responsible for multiple active projects and bids ranging from cyber security research to digital platform development, security monitoring, incident response solutions, internal product development, and large-scale system integration programs.

Projects will cover the full systems engineering lifecycle from Concept Exploration to In-Service Support, providing opportunities to develop skills in requirements management, system architecture and design, subsystem development, system integration, testing, acceptance, and technical support.

What we are looking for:

As a Systems Engineer, you will work on designing, developing, and testing secure systems such as Information Management Systems, Command and Control systems, Security Monitoring for IT, IoT, and CNI systems and services.

• Contribute to system and low-level design using your technical expertise and best practices.
• Develop, integrate, and test system solutions, including scripting for automation and integration.
• Report progress and status to internal customers.
• Configure and administer security tools like SIEM, IDS/IPS, Endpoint Detection and Response.
• Troubleshoot system issues and diagnose problems to propose solutions.
• Implement security controls, including operating system lockdowns.
• Create documentation and artefacts to support system delivery and maintenance.
• Provide technical support to the business unit and assist in bid development and evaluation.
• Collaborate with external vendors and resellers to develop cost-effective solutions.

What you will do:

The ideal candidate will have good knowledge and experience with Wintel IT systems and mainstream IT infrastructure services, including:

• Microsoft Active Directory
• Windows and Linux server installation and management
• Virtualisation technologies like VMware and Hyper-V
• Workstation deployment using WDS and MDT
• Microsoft Office suite
• Microsoft products such as Exchange, SQL, SCOM, ISA/TMG, IIS, SharePoint
• Implementing security policies, GPOs, application whitelisting/blacklisting, device/media control
• Managing enterprise patching solutions like WSUS
