Job summary

Cirrus Selection seeks proactive Systems Engineers in the Stevenage/Bristol area to design and deliver next‑generation combat air systems. You will contribute to reducing cognitive burden and enable seamless coordination of complex systems in the battlespace.

The role emphasizes collaboration with design teams, MB Engineering tools, and cross‑functional analysis within an ambitious programme to set new standards in integration and efficiency.

Qualifications

• Degree qualified in a STEM subject with 2–3 years in industry.
• Analytical systems thinker able to develop and communicate concepts and architectures.
• Able to present to senior internal and external stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Delivery of key System of Systems concepting activities.
• Requirements elicitation and decomposition.
• Architectural processes across project MB Engineering tools.
• Define and convey overall system concept, trades and design principles.

Salary: Up to £47,000 P/A + benefits (plus excellent bonus and benefits)

• Work with design teams to define and convey the overall system concept, trades, fundamental design principles and constraints that balance fulfilment of the need
• Support to cross functional assessment and analysis activities

Skills Required:

• Degree qualified in a STEM related subject and at least 2 to 3 years’ experience in industry
• Analytical Systems thinkers that are able to develop and communicate new concepts and architectures, with an understanding of the requirements/needs that drive the design
• Ability to present and engage with a senior set of internal and external stakeholders
• Ability to influence and drive a narrative
• Willingness to learn and deliver as part of an agile team
• Attention to detail along with excellent organisational and communication skills
