Job summary

Cirrus Selection Limited is seeking a Systems Engineer to join a driven team delivering Mission Planning products for Defence sector customers. You will work across the full lifecycle, from concept to in-service support and customer training, in a collaborative environment.

You will design mission planning systems, contribute to requirements capture and verification, and interact with UK and French teams while engaging with customers and end-users.

Qualifications

• Understanding of System Engineering Process is essential with recent experience in a systems engineering role.
• Experience in tools for Requirements Capture and Control (e.g. DOORS) and Configuration Management essential.
• Ability to communicate and work effectively with multiple teams and locations.
• Experience of technical problem solving with strong analytical thinking.
• Engineering degree or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Conduct systems design activities for mission planning products.
• Provide inputs to requirements capture, design freezes, system integration and testing through to verification and certification.
• Collaborate with UK and French Systems and Software teams and other parties for robust design and validation.
• Hands-on with real equipment and engage with customers and end-users.

Salary: Up to £57,000 P/A + Overtime, annual Bonus, pension and benefits

Hours: 37 hours per week

We have an exciting opportunity for a Systems Engineer to join an enthusiastic, driven and dynamic team, working across international boundaries who are focussed on delivering Mission Planning products for key domestic and export customers within the Defence sector.

The opportunity:

The Systems Engineer will join a team that works across all stages of the development life cycle, from initial concepting through to in-service support and Customer training. The breadth of work within the Mission Planning Systems Team affords plenty of opportunities for you to showcase your existing skills and experience as well as providing the platform for technical and personal growth.

• You will be conducting systems design activities for various mission planning products.
• You will provide key inputs to requirements capture, design freezes, system integration and testing through to full product verification and certification.
• You will work closely with UK and French Systems and Software teams, as well as other parties to enable robust design and system validation.
• You will be hands-on with real, operational equipment and have the opportunity to engage with Customers and End-Users

Skills and Qualifications
