Job summary

SEA in Barnstaple is seeking a Senior Systems Engineer to design, develop and support products. Based at our Barnstaple site with flexible working, you will drive requirements management, prove design inputs and support testing, qualification, and in-service activities.

You will lead design-proving, testing, and integration efforts, with strong MBSE knowledge, excellent communication, and leadership skills. Naval and underwater systems experience is highly valued.

Qualifications

• Degree in engineering required.
• Extensive knowledge of the Engineering Lifecycle as a Systems Engineer.
• Experience using a requirements management tool and MBSE.
• Excellent communication skills and leadership ability.
• Experience of Sonar or Underwater Battlespace environment is preferred.

About The Role

You will be required to progress the design, development, design proving, test, commissioning and in-service support of the equipment. Senior Systems Engineer will be based at our Barnstaple site. This role allows for flexible working. The salary for this role is up to £65k, depending on experience.

Theskills you need

• Degree, HND or equivalent in a relevant engineering discipline
• Extensive Knowledge and experience of working within the Engineering Lifecycle as a Systems Engineer
• A good understanding of requirements capture and experience of using a requirements management tool to manage requirements
• Excellent Communication skills
• Knowledge and understanding of using MBSE
• Leadership and team leading
• Experience of Sonar or the Underwater Battlespace environment
