Job summary

Servomex in Crowborough, UK, is seeking a Systems Design Engineer with strong experience in sampling systems and engineered process solutions. The role is hybrid, with three days per week onsite after probation, and offers a salary range of £48,000 to £60,000.

You will lead bid development, design practical solutions, and prepare BoMs, cost models, and technical proposals while managing risks and governance. Occasional travel within Europe/global travel is expected.

Qualifications

• Proven experience designing sampling systems and engineered process solutions.
• Background in systems engineering, systems integration or application engineering.
• Experience developing technical proposals, cost estimates and bid packages.
• Strong governance, risk management and project execution knowledge.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management to influence global teams.
• Proficiency in CAD tools such as AutoCAD.

Responsibilities

• Lead technical solution development during bids, defining requirements, scope, assumptions, risks and delivery approaches.
• Design practical solutions centred around sampling systems, process instrumentation and integrated engineered systems.
• Create Bills of Materials (BoMs), cost models, pricing recommendations and technical proposal documentation.
• Assess technical feasibility, buildability, compliance requirements and execution risks.
• Support proposal governance reviews and ensuring regional approval prior to customer submission.
• Producing Bid Design Packs and providing seamless handover into project execution.
• Driving continuous improvement through lessons learned, standardisation and design best practice.
