We are now recruiting for the exciting role of Senior Systems Design Engineer, to be involved in industry leading, cutting-edge design project for a new type of power station.

The Senior Systems Design Engineer will define plant level design solutions of the RR SMR power station though the integration functional design and design optioneering as part of the Power Station Integration team.

The Senior Systems Design Engineer will work with subject matter experts and discipline design teams integrate solutions across the power station, flowing requirements to lower tier systems ensuring the whole power station requirements are met and an effective product is delivered.

• Own and run independently the design of Power Station Capabilities (features) and manage the performance and attributes of the power station in relation to these. E.g. net power output, availability, product cost etc.
• Use experience and optioneering & systems engineering techniques to deliver Power Station design solutions against product requirements.
• Use design optioneering to deliver Power Station design solutions against product requirements.
• Ensure requirements flow to the lower tier systems enables the overarching power station attributes and objectives to be met.
• Elicit capability requirements.
• Integrate across multi-disciplined design teams to develop the design of the capability.
• Deliver the plant level solutions to meet key attributes.
• Flow down requirements to the lower tier systems enabling component system design.

Pay And Benefits

We anticipate paying a salary of between £48,000 - £62,500 DOE plus:-

• Bonus - Performance related target opportunity 12.5%
• Benefits Allowance – £2,200 per annum, enabling you to create a bespoke package
• Pension - 12% employer and 6% employee contributions.
• Holidays - 28 days holiday (+ public holidays) and the ability to buy or sell up to 4 days.
• Private Medical Insurance - BUPA single cover health care
• Life Assurance - 6x pensionable pay
