Qualifications

Responsibilities

The individual will be responsible for supporting and partnering with Traders, Trade Co-Ordinators, Portfolio Managers and Portfolio Analysts on a busy investment and trading floor.This position requires a high level of direct interaction with business users, excellent presentation, clear and concise communication and delivery skills. This individual must be a self-starter with the ability to multi-task and work on a variety of assignments with people at all levels of the organization.ResponsibilitiesDirect interaction and support of Traders, Trade Co-Ordinators, Portfolio Managers and Portfolio Analysts, including troubleshooting, fixing, and escalating issues in a timely manner that impact the desks.Experience working in an application support team in a busy front office environment.Champion the needs of the business stakeholders, act as their fiduciary and build trusted relationships.Provide timely and accurate status reporting/ issue tracking and communication within IT/Business Parteners.Adherence to SOC1 requirements, Incident/Problem Management process and documentation, including follow through using ITIL framework.This includes managing production incidents to ensure appropriate escalation and assist in determining root cause and preventative measure.Develop a strong partnership with the delivery team to ensure on time, scalable and high quality business solutions.QualificationsMinimum 3 years’ experience working in an application support team/environment in the financial services industryExperience supporting Portfolio Managers and Portfolio Analysts working directly in a trade floor environmentExcellent written and verbal communication skillsStrong analytical and problem-solving skills, with high attention to detailSelf-motivated, quick learner and willing to work in an energetic, fast paced team environment.Experience in Financial Services & Trading Systems systems is required – e.g. Charles River IMS, Aladdin, ThinkFolio, Bloomberg, Flex Trade, FIX which depending on the position may include domains such as:Understanding of financial instruments such as stocks, bonds, swaps, options, futures, forwards, derivatives, and FX.Experience with advanced investment data concepts such as holdings, transactions, security master, analytics, and performance.Detailed knowledge and experience of investors workflows in areas of research/valuation, analysis and portfolio constructionHands-on knowledge of SQL and the ability to extract and analyse data to troubleshoot and fix issues.Experience supporting critical production applicationsExperience in using AI tools such as Claude/GitHub Co-Pilot is advantageousCFA Institute Claritas Certificate, CFA Charter or progress towards one considered an assetNot sure you meet 100% of our qualifications?
