Wellington Management in the United Kingdom seeks a Senior Systems Analyst to support front-office users and collaborate with Traders, Portfolio Managers and Analysts on a busy trading floor. You will troubleshoot issues, document processes, and drive strong stakeholder relationships while upholding SOC1 and ITIL standards.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years’ experience in application support in financial services.
• Experience supporting Portfolio Managers and Portfolio Analysts on a trade floor.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving with high attention to detail.
• Self-motivated, quick learner in an energetic, fast paced team.
• Experience with financial instruments and data concepts.
• Hands-on SQL for data extraction and troubleshooting.
• Experience supporting production applications.
• Experience with AI tools is advantageous.
• CFA-related certifications are assets.

Responsabilités

This is a great opportunity for a Senior Systems Analyst to join a strong, collaborative team in a role focusing on analysis, problem solving and relationship management. The individual will be responsible for supporting and partnering with Traders, Trade Co-Ordinators, Portfolio Managers and Portfolio Analysts on a busy investment and trading floor.

This position requires a high level of direct interaction with business users, excellent presentation, clear and concise communication and delivery skills. This individual must be a self-starter with the ability to multi-task and work on a variety of assignments with people at all levels of the organization.

Responsibilities

• Direct interaction and support of Traders, Trade Co-Ordinators, Portfolio Managers and Portfolio Analysts, including troubleshooting, fixing, and escalating issues in a timely manner that impact the desks.
• Experience working in an application support team in a busy front office environment.
• Champion the needs of the business stakeholders, act as their fiduciary and build trusted relationships.
• Provide timely and accurate status reporting/ issue tracking and communication within IT/Business Partners.
• Adherence to SOC1 requirements, Incident/Problem Management process and documentation, including follow through using ITIL framework.
• This includes managing production incidents to ensure appropriate escalation and assist in determining root cause and preventative measure.
• Develop a strong partnership with the delivery team to ensure on time, scalable and high quality business solutions.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years’ experience working in an application support team/environment in the financial services industry
• Experience supporting Portfolio Managers and Portfolio Analysts working directly in a trade floor environment
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with high attention to detail
• Self-motivated, quick learner and willing to work in an energetic, fast paced team environment.
• Experience in Financial Services & Trading Systems systems is required – e.g. Charles River IMS, Aladdin, ThinkFolio, Bloomberg, Flex Trade, FIX which depending on the position may include domains such as:
• Understanding of financial instruments such as stocks, bonds, swaps, options, futures, forwards, derivatives, and FX.
• Experience with advanced investment data concepts such as holdings, transactions, security master, analytics, and performance.
• Detailed knowledge and experience of investors workflows in areas of research/valuation, analysis and portfolio construction
• Hands‑on knowledge of SQL and the ability to extract and analyse data to troubleshoot and fix issues.
• Experience supporting critical production applications
• Experience in using AI tools such as Claude/GitHub Co-Pilot is advantageous
• CFA Institute Claritas Certificate, CFA Charter or progress towards one considered an asset
