Copello has partnered with an established Intelligence and Communications business to recruit a Principal Systems Engineer/Systems Engineer Lead.

This role will be based in Maidenhead and offers a competitive package, including a company bonus, private medical care, and a DV Clearance Bonus.

Please note that all candidates must be eligible for DV Clearance (British Passport Holder).

Role Responsibilities:

• Represent the Systems discipline as a senior member or lead Systems Engineer for assigned work packages, ensuring obligations and commitments are delivered on time and within budget.
• Support the Engineering Project Lead in delivering engineering obligations of a project, adhering to plans, budgets, and schedules.
• Develop Systems Engineering artefacts across the product development lifecycle to achieve positive project outcomes.
• Contribute to the design, development, and delivery of Systems Engineering artefacts to ensure high-quality deliverables.
• Provide technical direction and influence across project work packages to select optimal approaches, architectures, designs, and implementations.
• Collaborate with system, hardware, firmware, and software architects to ensure design consistency, modularity, reusability, and technical excellence.
• Possess significant experience and a comprehensive understanding of Systems Engineering, the V-Model, and related processes/lifecycles.
• Have technical and line management experience with a team of systems engineers.
• Experience in writing high-quality technical documentation and conducting formal technical reviews.
• Maintain substantial knowledge of Systems Engineering practices, methodologies, processes, techniques, and technology trends.
• Experience with tools such as DOORS, UML, SEBoK, Enterprise Architect, and SysML.

Desired Experience:

• INCOSE recognition as ASEP or CSEP.
• Experience working as a technical Subject Matter Expert (SME) and developing expertise in new areas as required.
