Job summary

Meritus seeks a Senior Systems Engineer to join a leading organisation delivering UK Central Government and Defence programmes from Farnborough. You will apply systems engineering across complex projects and coordinate technical delivery.

The role requires 7–10+ years' experience, SC clearance, and a background in maritime/defence, with hybrid working including 3 days per week in Farnborough. You will work with project managers, customers and senior stakeholders on safety and security compliant

Qualifications

• Active SC Clearance.
• Degree-level engineering qualification or equivalent.
• CEng or equivalent.
• 7–10+ years' experience in systems engineering or a related engineering discipline.
• Good understanding of systems engineering processes and the system lifecycle.
• Experience in requirements engineering and system design.
• Experience leading or reviewing the work of other engineers.
• Strong stakeholder management, communication and presentation skills.
• Understanding of engineering and project management within complex environments.
• Maritime, naval or Defence experience.
• Experience working in secure, regulated or safety-critical environments.
• Knowledge of systems modelling, analysis or systems acquisition.

Responsibilities

MERITUS are recruiting for a Senior Systems Engineer to join a leading organisation working on complex UK Central Government and Defence programmes in Farnborough.

This role would suit an experienced systems engineer with a broad understanding of the systems engineering lifecycle, particularly around requirements, system design, technical delivery and stakeholder management. Experience within the maritime or Defence sector would be highly beneficial.
