Job summary

A specialist engineering and technology business in the UK is hiring a Senior Systems Engineer to lead technical delivery on secure communication systems. You will contribute to systems architecture, requirements capture, and documentation. This mid-senior level role requires over 5 years of systems engineering experience, and offers a hybrid working model with a competitive benefits package including 25 days holiday and a pension.

Qualifications

• Must be a British citizen or eligible for UK SC clearance.

About the Role

You will be a key contributor to the architecture, requirements capture, design, verification, and documentation of bespoke and secure systems. Working closely with multidisciplinary teams, you’ll help define solutions for both new product development and existing defence programmes. This is a hands‑on role that also requires strategic involvement across system architecture, verification, and cross‑functional collaboration.

• BSc / MSc in Engineering or equivalent experience.
• Must be a British citizen or eligible for UK SC clearance.

Required Skills

• 5+ years’ experience in a similar systems engineering role.
