Job summary

PE Global is seeking a System Integration Engineer for a Pharma client based in Cambourne (hybrid). The role is a 24-month contract.

You will create and define test plans, manage test execution, and perform hands-on debugging of embedded FW and electronics within a demanding ecosystem.

Qualifications

• BSc/MSc in Electrical Engineering or higher.
• Minimum of 3 years of multidisciplinary HW/FW/SW system integration experience.
• Experience with defining test plans and test design documents.
• Experience with complex embedded systems debugging.
• Proficiency in protocol testing (RF and wired).
• Ability to understand IoT complex systems including RF communication and HW interfaces.
• Hands-on approach to test definitions, setups, ramp-up and failure debug.

Job description

PE Global is currently recruiting for a System Integration Engineer to join our Pharma client based in Cambourne (hybrid). The role is an initial 24-month contract

As System Integration engineer you will create and define physical setups, test plans and own test execution and debug of the device, while working inside a demanding and diverse eco system.

Position requires the ability to develop test plans, understand embedded FW and electronics terms and constraints and lead technical investigations of complex system issues as well as creative problem solving and hands on work.

• Detailed definitions of test plans and test cases.
• Detailed definitions of testing setups and hands-on creation of such.
• Manual test execution and reporting.
• Hands-on debug of complex system focusing on embedded and electronics aspects, as a component of the full solution.

Requirements

• BSC/MSc in Electrical engineering or higher
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in multidisciplinary (HW, FW and SW) system integration
• Experience in test plan definitions and test design documents.
• Experience with complex embedded systems debug
• Proficiency in protocol testing (over RF and wired).
• Ability to understand IoT complex systems including RF communication and HW interfaces.
• Experience with troubleshooting using standard test equipment
• Excellent technical comprehension when approaching new terms and concepts.
• Hands-on approach to tests definition, setup ramp-up and failure debug.

Advantage

• Experience with GPS system testing
• Experience with RF communication technologies (BLE, WiFi, LTE-M, LoRa, etc)
• Working with Cloud based infrastructure for IoT devices
• Experience in working with Atlassian suite and/or Azure DevOps
• Coding capabilities (Python)
