Job summary

PE Global is seeking an Embedded Firmware Engineer for a technology client based in Cambourne. The role is a 24-month contract with a hybrid work pattern requiring at least 2 days onsite each week.

You will design, develop and debug robust firmware for resource-constrained IoT devices using C/C++ on STM32 microcontrollers, with GNSS and LoRa/LoRaWAN integration, within an RTOS environment and cross-functional teams in the UK, Israel, and California.

Qualifications

• Five years of embedded software engineering experience with C/C++.
• Experience with STM32 microcontrollers and embedded debugging.
• Delivery of low-power firmware for battery-operated devices.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, debug and optimize embedded firmware for STM32-based IoT devices.
• Integrate GNSS, LoRa or LoRaWAN and hardware peripherals.
• Develop within an RTOS environment and deliver reliable, production-ready code in collaboration with UK/Israel/USA teams.

PE Global is currently recruiting for an Embedded Firmware Engineer to join our technology client based in Cambourne. The role is an initial 24 month contract, working on a hybrid basis with a minimum of 2 days per week onsite.

AsanEmbeddedSoftwareEngineer,youwillhavesignificantimpactonourmultidisciplinaryR&Dprojects,growwithusasweventureintonewtechnologies,andcontributetotheconnecteddeviceslineofproductsthroughoutbothdiscoveryanddelivery.Youwilldesign,develop,debug,andoptimizerobust,production-readyfirmwareforresource-constrained,low-powerIoTdevices.

Theresponsibilitieswillincludedesigning,developing,debugging,andoptimizingembeddedfirmwareforlow-powerSTM32-basedIoTdevices;integratingGNSS,LoRaorLoRaWAN,andhardwareperipherals;DevelopingwithinanRTOSenvironment;anddeliveringreliable,maintainable,production-readycodeincollaborationwithmultidisciplinaryproductandplatformteamsintheUK,IsraelandCalifornia,USA.

Requirements

• ApproximatelyfiveyearsofembeddedsoftwareengineeringexperienceusingC/C++.
