About the Role

Our Senior Sustainability and Environment Advisors are integral to our onsite teams, driving our sustainability agenda and ensuring projects meet the highest environmental standards. You will collaborate with project teams, clients, and stakeholders to develop and implement sustainable practices aligned with Wates Group’s values and objectives.

Responsibilities

• Develop, implement, and monitor sustainability strategies across multiple projects, ensuring alignment with environmental goals.
• Work with clients, subcontractors, and internal teams to promote sustainable construction practices. Conduct environmental awareness training and workshops.
• Ensure compliance with relevant environmental legislation, regulations, and standards. Provide guidance on environmental best practices.
• Promote standards such as ISO 14001, BREEAM, Well, NABERS, PAS 2080, establishing best practices and strategies in collaboration with design, procurement, and delivery teams.
• Manage external environmental consultants, hold regular meetings to track progress, and seek performance improvements using KPIs.
