The successful candidate will lead sustainability assessments for major projects, ensuring compliance with BREEAM and WELL standards while supporting client relationships and contributing to sustainability strategies.

Qualifications
- Qualified BREEAM assessor, preferably with WELL AP or Fitwel Ambassador.
- Awareness of energy and environmental related EU and UK Directives / Regulations.
- Building services design and carbon emissions assessments experience preferred.

Senior Sustainability Engineer / BREEAM Assessor£50,000 - £60,000Milton KeynesIf you would like to join a leader in built environment sustainability, and make a real difference within influencing major clients and working on landmark projects across an array of sectors and building types, while continuing to develop and expand your knowledge and skillset, then read on…A fantastic opportunity has arisen for a Sustainability Engineer / Sustainability Consultant / BREEAM Assessor to join the talented and successful Sustainability team of a leading built environment consultancy in Milton Keynes, delivering a range of building services engineering and sustainability projects.As Senior Sustainability Engineer you will ideally be a qualified BREEAM assessor, WELL AP and/or Fitwel Ambassador, with previous work experience and practical knowledge of carrying out assessments from registration to final certification.Responsibilities:- Liaise with client stakeholders to develop the Sustainability Strategy including criteria for the delivery of the desired BREEAM / WELL / Fitwel rating.
- Conduct BREEAM / WELL pre-assessments, provide design advice, and produce evidence requirements for BREEAM / WELL credits
- Undertake gap analysis report / schedule should the desired rating not be achievable
- Chair meetings and workshops with design team members to clarify requirements or reassess the design if any changes take place impacting the desired rating
- Prepare project updates, assessment reports, planning reports for client and submission to certifying bodies
- Provide support and monitor the BREEAM targets through the construction stage and verify the outcomes on behalf of the client
- Undertake a Post construction review and site visits for final certification
- Support senior members of staff in client and design team relationships
- Manage multiple projects and deliverables
- Commit to supporting the strategic company sustainability policies and the internal environmental programme objectives.
Requirements:- BEng, BSc, MEng or MSc in relevant sustainability or engineering subject
- Awareness of energy and environmental related EU and UK Directives / Regulations.
- An appreciation of sustainable buildings and how this can reflect upon design principles.
- Sound knowledge of how buildings are built and the design process that goes into their design.
- Building services design, energy performance modelling or carbon emissions assessments experience is preferred.
- A strategic thinker with a proactive attitude and attention to detail as well as good problem solving and communication skills.
- Capable of researching new ideas and technologies and look for opportunities to expand the business work stream.
- Ideally a BREEAM Accredited Professional (AP).
