Job summary

CBRE is seeking a Surveyor/Senior Surveyor to join the Valuations - Compulsory Purchase team in London. The role involves providing clear compulsory purchase advice to acquiring authorities, developers or those affected, and coordinating input from other teams.

The ideal candidate is MRICS or APC candidate with land assembly experience, strong analytical and reporting skills, and the ability to network with clients while adapting to changing requirements.

Qualifications

• Experience or interest in compulsory purchase work.
• Wider planning/development/valuation experience preferred.
• RICS Registered Valuer would be an advantage.
• Strong analytical, numerical and problem-solving skills.
• Good report writing and presentation skills.

Responsibilities

• Preparing estimates of compensation payable.
• Advising on compulsory purchase process and procedure/timescales.
• Pre-Order site assembly negotiations.
• Assessing and agreeing compensation claims on behalf of acquiring authority.
• Preparing and negotiating compensation claims on behalf of claimants.
• Collaborating with development, planning, financial consulting and other teams to deliver integrated client advice.
• Assisting with Lands Tribunal and Public Inquiry preparation as required.
