Job description

Are you looking to progress your career by working on Britain’s biggest construction project? Balfour Beatty VINCI is working with a range of organisations to design and build 90km West Midlands stretch of HS2 - Britain’s new high speed railway.. Our work is essential to enable HS2 trains to travel between London and Birmingham as well as continue their journey up to Manchester. It’s an incredibly exciting time to join us - we’re at peak construction with work really ramping up on a broad range of assets including bridges, tunnels and viaducts. Plus you’d join 9,000 people across 72 nationalities working on this exciting section of HS2 across the region.

We currently have an exciting opportunity to join our team as a Senior Surveyor within the Structures Team.

Please note candidates will need to have a current valid right to work in the UK to be considered for this role.

Core Responsibilities :

• Deputise for the ESM as required, liaising with the project management team.
• Implement a standardised approach to the capture of all survey data and creation of deliverables across the project.
• Produce deliverables to strict deadlines in accordance with the site programme.
• Collecting survey field data, processing, and issuing to clients or stakeholders in the agreed formats.
• Ensuring all site-specific tolerances are met in any survey related operations.
• Ensuring the safe and secure storage of all historical survey data relating to the project.
• Manage, mentor, and supervise survey teams.

Ideal Experience :

• Relevant degree/masters/Diploma in either Geospatial engineering/Land surveying/Engineering surveying, or equivalent industry recognised qualification.
• Hold a valid CSCS / SMSTS
• Managed a team of surveyors in a previous role.
• Possess effective communication and negotiation skills.
• Extensive knowledge of survey specific software.
• Proficient in IT (Information Technology) applications
• Build and maintain effective working relationships with the wider project team. o
• Experience of practical surveying methodologies

We started working together over 30 years ago to deliver the Channel Tunnel, as members of the TransManche Link consortium.
