Job summary

Safran Electrical & Power seeks a Senior Supportability Engineer to join the Engineering Product Support team at the Pitstone site in Buckinghamshire. The role involves providing excellent aftermarket support, optimizing whole-life costs, and leading small project teams across ILS analyses and service readiness planning.

You will influence the commercial offering, work on diverse projects, and ensure profitability of parts and services while maintaining strong relations with stakeholders.

Qualifications

• Degree or significant experience in aerospace, engineering or automotive.
• Knowledge of Supportability, Integrated Logistics Support, reliability and maintainability.
• Comfortable liaising with stakeholders at all levels.
• Experience working within a regulated industry is preferred.
• Ability to derive best support solutions in a complete systems environment using data and analysis.
• Ability to persuade stakeholders to change approach when required.

Responsibilities

• Ensure we offer complete support and service solutions to our customers in the aftermarket.
• Work with program teams to provide all elements for a successful entry into service and ongoing support for new products.
• Produce and update service support readiness plans, conducting ILS analyses including maintainability and Turn Around Time (TAT) analysis.
• Ensure continued profitability from the parts and services provided to customers.
• Plan ILS and supportability work packages of varying sizes and manage them to completion.
• Liaise with stakeholders to determine the best support solution for a customer or platform.
• Lead project teams of around 1 to 5 people.

We are looking for passionate individuals to join our Engineering Product Support team as a Senior Supportability Engineer at our Pitstone site in Buckinghamshire.

The Role

As a Senior Supportability Engineer at Safran Electrical & Power you will offer excellent support and service solutions to our customers in the aftermarket, optimising elements of the product design to enable the provision of complete support to our global customer base. You will support on various projects, producing and updating service support readiness plans. You will play a key role in influencing the commercial offering, optimising whole life costs. You will model and plan work packages of varying sizes, leading small project teams of varying disciplines.

• Liaise with various key stakeholders to determine the best support solution for a customer or platform
• Lead project teams of around 1 to 5 people

• A degree or significant experience in areas such as aerospace, engineering or automotive
• Knowledge and use of Supportability, Integrated Logistics Support, reliability and maintainability
• Comfortable liaising with stakeholders at all levels
• Appreciation of the constraints of working within a regulated industry
• Ability to derive the best support solutions in a complete systems environment, thinking equally in both technical and commercial spaces
• Ability to persuade stakeholders to change approach when required, using data and analysis evidence bases
• Comfortable working with demanding customers to jointly define the best ways to support the business
• Evidence of written English at interview stage.
