Job summary

Safran Electrical & Power in Buckinghamshire is seeking a Senior Supportability Engineer to join the Pitstone site with a hybrid work arrangement.

You will optimise whole life costs, model work packages, and lead small project teams while ensuring complete aftermarket support for a global customer base.

The role requires RAMS, ILS, reliability/maintainability knowledge, data analysis, and the ability to influence commercial offerings through informed analysis.

Qualifications

• A degree or significant experience in aerospace, engineering or automotive.
• Knowledge and use of Supportability, Maintainability, ILS, reliability.
• Comfortable liaising with stakeholders at all levels.
• Appreciation of regulatory industry constraints.
• Ability to derive best support solutions in a complete systems environment, combining technical and commercial thinking.
• Ability to persuade stakeholders to change approach based on data and analysis.
• Comfortable working with demanding customers to define best support for the business.
• Evidence of written English at interview stage.

• Work with program teams to provide all elements for a successful entry into service and ongoing support for new products.
• Produce and update service support readiness plans and conduct ILS analyses including TAT.
• Ensure continued profitability from parts and services provided to customers.
• Plan ILS and supportability work packages and manage them to completion.
• Liaise with stakeholders to determine best support solutions for a customer or platform.
• Lead project teams of around 1–5 people.

We are looking for passionate individuals to join our Engineering Product Support team as a Senior Supportability Engineer at our Pitstone site in Buckinghamshire.

The Role

As a Senior Supportability Engineer at Safran Electrical & Power, you will offer excellent support and service solutions to our customers in the aftermarket, optimising elements of the product design to enable the provision of complete support to our global customer base. You will support on various projects, producing and updating service support readiness plans. You will play a key role in influencing the commercial offering, optimising whole life costs. You will model and plan work packages of varying sizes, leading small project teams of varying disciplines.

• Ensure we offer complete support and service solutions to our customers in the aftermarket


• Work with program teams to provide all elements for a successful entry into service and ongoing support for new products


• Produce and update service support readiness plans, conducting ILS analysis including maintainability assessments and Turn Around Time (TAT) analysis


• Ensure continued profitability from the parts and services that we provide to our customer base


• Plan ILS and supportability work packages of various sizes and manage them to completion


• Liaise with various key stakeholders to determine the best support solution for a customer or platform


• Lead project teams of around 1 to 5 people

• Ability to derive the best support solutions in a complete systems environment, thinking equally in both technical and commercial spaces


• Ability to persuade stakeholders to change approach when required, using data and analysis evidence bases


• Comfortable working with demanding customers to jointly define the best ways to support the business


• Evidence of written English at interview stage
