Job summary

Milewood Healthcare Ltd is seeking a dedicated Senior Support Worker in Tees Valley to lead a team and ensure high-quality care for a young man in a solo occupancy. You will audit medications and help maintain the building to a high standard, with driving duties for medication collection and activities.

The role requires energy, a good sense of humour, and the ability to supervise, delegate and support staff while delivering compassionate, person-centered care.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in a senior support role or similar.
• NVQ Level 3 in Health & Social Care preferred.
• Excellent written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to lead and manage a team effectively.
• Competence in maintaining accurate records and administrative tasks.

Responsibilities

• Lead and supervise a team of support workers.
• Audit medications and ensure safety and accuracy.
• Maintain the building to a high standard.
• Provide sleep-in cover or night shifts as required.
• Delegate tasks within legal and professional boundaries.
• Attend and contribute to staff meetings and training sessions.
• Support development of the local management team and supervise care plans.
