Beck House in Darlington, part of Elysium Healthcare, is seeking an experienced Senior Support Worker to lead shifts and support people with Mental Health and high support needs. You will use your NVQ Level 3 in Health and Social Care to supervise staff, monitor wellbeing and manage daily routines.

Qualifications

• Experience as Senior Support Worker or extensive care experience in Mental Health and hold the NVQ Level 3 in Health and Social Care.
• Leadership skills and experience.
• Strong empathy and a caring and compassionate nature.
• Willingness to support residents with personal hygiene.
• Excellent people and communication skills, and a good sense of humour.
• The ability to deal with challenging behaviours.
• A positive and professional approach.
• To be hard-working and honest, reliable.
• flexible
• To live local or within commutable distance.
• You must live in the UK and have the Right to Work in the UK full time.
• 20-hour Student and Skilled Worker Visa's cannot be accepted.

Responsabilités

• Organise and oversee the smooth running of a shift and ensure the wellbeing of all service users.
• Respond to challenges or concerns and supervise support staff.
• Organise activities and administer medication.
• Communicate with families and professionals and oversee daily reports, budgets, audits and H&S checks.
• Maintain a positive attitude and resilience in a challenging environment.
