Beck House in Darlington, County Durham, is seeking a Senior Support Worker to join a compassionate team and help residents with Mental Health needs. You will work across days, nights and weekends to provide high-quality care and ensure a safe, supportive environment.

With NVQ Level 3 in Health and Social Care and strong leadership and communication skills, you will supervise staff, organise activities, and liaise with families and professionals.

Qualifications

• Experience as Senior Support Worker or extensive care experience in Mental Health.
• NVQ Level 3 in Health and Social Care is required.
• Leadership and communication skills are essential.
• Willingness to support residents with personal hygiene.
• Live locally or within commutable distance.

Responsibilities

• Organise and oversee the smooth running of a shift.
• Ensure the wellbeing of all service users.
• Supervise support staff.
• Organise activities and administer medication.
• Communicate with families and professionals.
• Oversee daily reports and budgets; complete financial audits.
• Complete H&S checks.
