Job summary

Positive Futures in Northern Ireland is seeking a Senior Support Worker to deliver high quality, person‑centred support to people with a learning disability, acquired brain injury or autism. You’ll lead on reviews, mentor staff and act as a strong role model for the team, ensuring consistency and compassion in every interaction.

You’ll take on coordinator and Shift Leader responsibilities, coordinate plans with families and other key people, chair meetings when needed, and promote best practice

Qualifications

• At least 6 months paid experience in health and social care or community setting.
• Experience leading a shift or acting as a key worker, including supervising colleagues and coordinating reviews or plans.
• Basic digital skills to record notes and use rota, HR or care systems.
• Willingness to work towards QCF Level 3 in Health and Social Care.

Responsibilities

• Provide high quality, person-centred support and act as a strong role model.
• Coordinate and review person-centred plans with families and significant people.
• Lead on coordinating reviews, chair meetings, and oversee records, finances, medication and health and safety.
• Coach, mentor and supervise staff, promoting best practice in active support and behaviour management.
