Job summary

FitzRoy's Supported Living service in North Walsham is seeking a Senior Support Worker to lead a team delivering person-centred support to adults with learning disabilities and autism.

You'll work on a 4 on/1 off rota with early/late shifts, including weekend work, and you'll mentor other Support Workers while supporting individuals to live independently and participate in the local community. A full UK driving licence is essential.

Qualifications

• Experience supporting people with learning disabilities, autism or complex needs.
• Positive, proactive and caring approach.
• Good communication and organisational skills.
• Ability to lead shifts and support colleagues.
• Full UK driving licence for service vehicles.
• Willing to work weekends.

Responsibilities

• Support people to enjoy interests, hobbies and community activities.
• Provide personal care and support with daily routines.
• Promote independence, choice and inclusion.
• Administer medication and support health appointments.
• Mentor for Support Workers and supervise inductions.
• Complete audits, support plans, risk assessments and service records.
• Liaise with families, professionals and external agencies.
• Assist management to ensure compliance and quality standards.
