Job summary

East Kent Mencap is seeking a dedicated Senior Support Worker to join our team and help promote independence for service users with learning disabilities in Margate. You will work as part of a supportive team, act as a key worker, and assist with daily running of the service, while being IT literate and comfortable with staff supervision.

The role requires previous experience and a flexible approach, with evening, weekend, and sleep-in shifts paid at £70.47 per night.

Qualifications

• Previous experience is essential for this opportunity.
• Must be able to demonstrate a reliable and flexible approach to people with a learning disability.
• Hold an NVQ3 in Health and Social Care (or be willing to work towards it).

Responsibilities

• Work as part of a team and be a key worker to support colleagues in promoting independence.
• Support the manager in the daily running of the service and be IT literate.
• Undertake staff supervisions and chair team meetings.
