Job summary

Aspris is seeking a Senior Support Worker for South Shore Children’s Home, Lancashire. You will lead a team of Support Workers, delivering high quality childcare within our person-centred, therapeutic approach. You’ll safeguard children, provide compassionate care, and support the Registered Manager to ensure the best outcomes for residents aged 7–18.

Shift work, weekends and sleep-in duties are required. A Level 3/4 Diploma in Residential Childcare and at least 18 months’ experience are

Qualifications

• Minimum 18 months experience in a residential setting.
• Achieved Level 3 or Level 4 Diploma (Residential Childcare) or equivalent.
• Ability to interact with a range of people/young people.
• Confident to lead a team of Support Workers.
• Willingness to cover shift work including weekends and sleep-ins.
• Full driving licence is essential.

At our Children's Home South Shore, we are looking for a positive, enthusiastic, and caring individual who is looking to take the next step in their career. Our role offers you the opportunity to work as a Senior member of our Residential team and really make a difference to our young people. South Shore is a 4 - bedded children's home, supporting young people aged 7-18 who may display disruptive behaviours, emotional and social difficulties.

What are my responsibilities?

• You will actively safeguard and promote the welfare of our children and young people who live in the home.
• To support across the home, working with the Registered Manager to provide the best possible care for our young people.
• As a Senior Support Worker, you will provide high quality childcare practice, within Aspris Care's philosophy, underpinned by a Person-Centred Values therapeutic approach.

What We Ask From You

• Minimum 18 months or more experience working within a residential setting.
• Achieved your Level 3 or Level 4 Diploma (Residential Childcare) or equivalent
• Ability to interact with a range of people/young people.
• Confidence and ability to lead a team of Support Workers.
• To be able to provide consistency of care and support to the young people.
• Experience working with children who may display challenging behaviour.
• Shift work including weekends, evenings, and sleep-in duties on a rota system.
• Full driving licence is essential.
