Job summary

Autism Initiatives Group of Companies in Blackpool is seeking a Senior Support Worker to lead a team and support individuals to live as independently as possible. The role involves supervising staff, supporting with daily tasks, and deputising for the Service Manager as needed.

You will work flexibly across day shifts, weekends and occasional sleeps, contributing to a values-based organisation that prioritises wellbeing, training, and career progression.

£29,126 per annum pro rata based on 39 hours per week

Our Senior Support Workers work in partnership with people we support, enabling them to live as independently as possible and to be part of their local community.

  • Ability to deputise for the Service Manager where required

More about the role

As a Senior Support Worker, you will support the Service Manager to ensure the smooth running of our service. Where required, yourself and the team of Support Workers will also support with housework duties which include, cleaning, ironing and washing. As a Senior Support Worker you will lead by example showing a particular focus on supporting independence and helping people pursue their interest and be active members of their local community.

You will supervise a team of Support Workers, providing encouragement and guidance to achieve the best quality support and practise. This role will allow you to gain new skills and build on your experience for future progression and development. Ideally you will have already obtained your Level 3 Health and Social Care, and will have previous experience in a supporting role.
