Job summary

Espa is seeking a dedicated care worker to support a Supported Living service for young men, with a focus on autistic adults and complex needs. The role emphasizes positive behavioural approaches and mentoring a team while maintaining high standards of care.

You will support the Team Leader, deputize during absences, and engage in ongoing training to ensure regulatory compliance and best practices in social care.

Qualifications

• Have a high level of commitment and flexibility towards service delivery.
• Have a level of fitness that enables participation in activities as part of agreed programmes.
• Although not essential, a clean driving licence would be advantageous.
• Have a mature and compassionate attitude and would be an excellent role model.
• Are able to work flexibly to best meet the needs of the people you will be supporting.
• Possess good verbal, written and IT skills as well as excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Have a qualification relevant to the role, or be willing to work towards one.
• Would be willing to deputize the Team Leader in their absence, including being part of a senior team providing senior on call cover.
• Be willing to develop your knowledge of the role of the Care Quality Commission as the regulatory body for social care provision

Responsibilities

• The successful candidate will be expected to be part of a senior on call rota for the service.

Applicants will need to be experienced in delivering services of excellence to autistic adultsand complex needs. Knowledge and experience of positivebehaviouralapproaches is essential,as is the ability to model best practice in all aspects of your work.Experience ofsupervisinga teamisrequired,and aproactive approachto your workis essential.
