Job summary

Voyage Care in Rotherham is seeking a Senior Support Worker to lead our residential service and guide a dynamic team in supporting a fantastic group of people. The role focuses on elevating independence and quality of life within a welcoming environment.

You will allocate shifts, induct new colleagues, support supervision, order medication, and help service users manage finances. Typical shifts are Early and Late; enhanced pay and benefits are available to reflect responsibilities and commitment.

Qualifications

• Level 3 in Health & Social Care required.
• Previous experience as a Senior Support Worker.
• Experience supporting individuals with enhanced needs (distress, mental health, brain injury, autism, trauma).

Responsibilities

• Allocate shifts and book training for staff.
• Induct new colleagues and support supervision activities.
• Order medication and support people to manage finances.
• Assist the Manager with day-to-day service supervision and management.
• Help people gain more independence in daily living.

Senior Support Workers with a passion for enhancing the quality of life of the people we support are at the heart of our management teams. We’re currently searching for a fantastic Senior Support Worker to join us in leading our residential service in Rotherham. This service is a welcoming and friendly environment with a dynamic team that supports a fantastic group of people!

As a Senior Support Worker with us you'll be helping people to gain more independence in their daily lives, whilst assisting the Manager with the day-to-day supervision and management of the service. You could be allocating shifts, booking in training, inducting new colleagues, supporting with supervision’s, ordering medication and ensuring the people we support are supported to manage their finances. You’ll never lose sight of why you choose to do this, as our Seniors are still at the heart of providing day-to-day support.

We’re interested in our Senior Support Workers having both the right experience and the right values. This is why at this service our Seniors should have previous experience as a Senior Support Worker and a Level 3 in Health & Social Care as well as experience working with individuals requiring enhanced support, including behaviour's of distress, mental health conditions, acquired brain injury, autism, forensic histories and people who have experienced trauma.
