Job summary

Worcestershire County Council in Malvern is seeking a dedicated Senior Support Worker to join the Howbury team, delivering compassionate care to adults with learning disabilities, dementia, and related needs.

This permanent role is 22.5 hours per week, with pro rata pay (£27,052–£29,345 per year) and opportunities for training and progression within a supportive local government environment.

Qualifications

• Experience with this would be desirable but not essential as training is provided.
• Team work is required to maintain quality of care.

Responsibilities

• Support individuals with Dementia and the replacement bed service.
• Contribute to a empathetic caring environment that respects dignity and independence.

Howbury house is a service based in Malvern. We have a dual service supporting individuals with Dementia and a replacement bed service located on the grounds. Our Dementia service prides itself on an empathetic caring environment meeting individuals needs whilst promoting dignity and respect.
Our replacement bed service supports individuals on short stays to allow families and guardians respite. This is a six bedded service with communal areas and a sensory room.
The service supports adults 18+ with a Learning Disability, Mental health, neurodiverse diagnosis, physical disabilities, sensory needs and emotional / psychological needs.
Both our services require team work to maintain the quality of care.
Experience with this would be desirable but not essential as training is provided
