Job description

Role: Female Senior Support Worker

Locations: The Hyde, Wembley

Salary: £12.81

Essential: Experience with Autism and Challenging Behaviour, 12 months UK experience in a similar role

Shifts: Mix of early and late shifts from 7.30am to 10.00pm

Contract: Permanent full-time, requires working alternate weekends

The Wembley Services provides Supported Living for adults with Learning Disabilities, Autism, and challenging behaviours. Our goal is to develop skills, independence, and confidence both at home and in the community.

Overview

Lead as Senior Support Worker, act as key worker where appropriate, and handle emergency or complex situations. Provide high-quality, person-centred support based on individual needs and wishes.

Skills and Qualities
  1. Leadership: Demonstrated initiative and leadership in projects or activities.
  2. Supporting people towards goals and positive outcomes through key working or achievements.
  3. Knowledge of regulatory frameworks, safeguarding, health & safety, CQC, and relevant legislation.
  4. Teamwork: Managing conflict, challenging bad practices, leading by example, and motivating others.
Duties
  • Develop and implement Person Centred Plans.
  • Act as a key worker for individuals.
  • Handle emergency or complex situations.
  • Support daily living and personal care using Active Support Approach.
  • Assist with activities, development, employment, and education opportunities.
  • Maintain records related to people's lives and finances.
  • Contribute to risk assessments to ensure safety and welfare.
  • Communicate with external parties, carers, and parents.
  • Supervise Support Workers as required.
  • Perform other duties as appropriate.
