Job summary

CareTech UK Ltd is recruiting a Senior Support Worker for Cosy Lodge in Charing, supporting adults with learning disabilities, autism and mental health needs. Lead and supervise a team, ensure high-quality, person-centred support and maintain accurate records.

The role involves coordinating activities, attending to appointments, and participating in the Senior On-Call rota with flexible, rota-based shifts. A Level 3 Diploma pathway is encouraged, DBS required, and driving is a plus.

Qualifications

• Ability to work unsociable hours on a rota basis
• Drivers desirable but not essential
• Enhanced DBS required (paid for by CareTech)

Responsibilities

• Lead and supervise a team of Support Workers, providing guidance, role-modelling, and day-to-day direction.
• Deliver high-quality, person-centred support, ensuring support plans are followed, reviewed, and updated.
• Coordinate activities, appointments and community engagement for the people we support.
• Maintain high standards of record-keeping, completing documentation, incident reports and reviews.
• Participate in the Senior On-Call rota, responding to staff queries and operational needs.

Senior Support Worker

Location: Westwell Leacon, Charing

Rate: £14.03 per hour + £78.30 per sleep-in

Permanent | Full-time | 39 hours per week (rota-based)

We are recruiting a Senior Support Worker to join our service in Charing, supporting adults with learning disabilities, autism, and mental health needs.

About the Service - Cosy Lodge

Cosy Lodge is a care home which provides care and support for up to 7 people with learning disabilities or autistic spectrum disorder with additional physical disability needs.

The service is situated just off the A20 between Ashford and Charing and has on site parking.

The Role

• Lead and supervise a team of Support Workers, providing guidance, role-modelling, and day-to-day direction.
• Deliver and oversee high-quality, person-centred support, ensuring support plans are followed, reviewed, and updated.
• Coordinate and participate in meaningful activities, appointments, and community engagement for the people we support.
• Maintain high standards of record-keeping, completing documentation, incident reports, and reviews professionally.
• Participate in the Senior On-Call rota, responding to staff queries, incidents, and operational needs as required.
