Job summary

TipTopJob in the Brooke area of Norwich is seeking a dedicated Senior Support Worker for a care home. You will have an NVQ Level 3 in Health and Social Care or equivalent and will provide high-quality resident care, supervise staff, assist with care plans, and administer medication according to policy.

This full-time, 36-hour-per-week role offers a salary of GBP16.00 per hour (GBP 29,952 per annum) with benefits including pension, paid training, enhanced bank holiday rates, and long-service

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 3 in Health and Social Care or equivalent.
• Experience delivering high quality care tailored to residents.
• Ability to supervise and coach staff and participate in care planning.

Responsibilities

• Recognise and facilitate the daily needs of residents.

• Promote services when dealing with relatives, prospective residents and enquiries.
• Update and write care plans and resident documentation.

As a Senior Support Worker Your Key Responsibilities Include

• Recognise and facilitate the daily needs of residents
• Conduct formal supervisions and appraisals
• Contributing to care planning and coaching support workers
• Take an active professional role in promoting the services offered when dealing with relatives, prospective residents and enquiries
• Participate in updating and writing care plans and resident documentation
• Be responsible for making and reporting realistic assessments of each resident to ensure continuity of care
• Be responsible for administrating medication to the residents in accordance with policies and procedures

The following skills and experience would be preferred and beneficial for the role:

• Proven experience of working in a care setting
• A good team player
• Good verbal and written communication skills
• Have a genuine desire to care for others

Benefits

The successful Senior Support Worker will receive an excellent salary of GBP16.00 per hour and the annual salary is GBP29,952 per annum.
