Job summary

Qualifications

• 5+ years' experience in IT support, infrastructure or engineering.
• At least 2-3 years operating at 3rd Line/Senior Engineer level.
• Experience in an MSP or multi-customer environment.
• Strong hands-on knowledge of Microsoft 365, Azure and Active Directory.
• Good understanding of networking, including Firewalls, VPNs, routing and switching.
• Experience with virtualization technologies such as VMware or Hyper-V.
• Strong diagnostic, troubleshooting and root cause analysis skills.
• Experience delivering infrastructure or cloud projects, migrations or implementations.
• Microsoft certifications such as AZ-104, AZ-305 or MS-102 would be advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Take technical ownership of complex incidents, service requests and infrastructure projects across technologies including Microsoft 365, Windows Server and Exchange.
• Manage Microsoft Azure and cloud infrastructure, Active Directory and identity management.
• Support VMware, Hyper-V and Citrix environments and network infrastructure.
• Oversee backups, recovery and cybersecurity solutions across on-prem and cloud.
• Design, build and deploy new infrastructure and cloud solutions.
• Drive automation initiatives and leverage emerging AI technologies.

Senior Support Engineer - Azure/Microsoft 365

A leading consultancy, that we are partnered with on an exclusive basis is hiring a Senior Support Engineer who has experience supporting environments that have adopted Azure & 365 technology suite.

Our client is offering a basic salary of £45,000 to be based in Sittingbourne on a hybrid basis (3 days onsite).

This is a broad 3rd Line/Infrastructure Engineering position combining complex technical support with hands-on project delivery. You'll work across a diverse customer base, taking ownership of escalated technical issues while also helping design, build and deploy new infrastructure and cloud solutions.

The position would suit an experienced 3rd Line Engineer, Senior Infrastructure Engineer or Senior Support Engineer from an MSP or multi-client environment who enjoys remaining technically hands-on rather than moving purely into management.

Due to client location, you will need to be able to drive.

Role responsibilities:

• Circa 5+ years' experience within IT support, infrastructure or engineering.
• At least 2-3 years operating at 3rd Line/Senior Engineer level.
• Previous experience working within an MSP or multi-customer environment.
• Strong hands-on knowledge of Microsoft 365, Azure and Active Directory.
• Good understanding of networking, including Firewalls, VPNs, routing and switching.
• Experience with virtualisation technologies such as VMware or Hyper-V.
• Strong diagnostic, troubleshooting and root cause analysis skills.
• Demonstrable experience delivering infrastructure or cloud projects, migrations or implementations.

Microsoft certifications such as AZ-104, AZ-305 or MS-102, alongside ITIL, CCNA/CCNP, CompTIA or relevant vendor certifications, would be advantageous.
