Polkadotfrog are supporting a well-established organisation in Ipswich in recruiting a Senior Supply Chain & Procurement Manager. Hybrid after probation, you will own a high-performing function with a team of 13, shaping strategy and delivering impactful results.

The role offers a base salary of £65,000 plus a 10% bonus and benefits, with senior leadership accountability across purchasing management, supervision and co-ordination.

Responsibilities

• Lead, develop and empower a strong purchasing team
• Take full ownership and accountability for the performance and output of the supply and procurement function
• Develop and implement supply and procurement strategies that support commercial and operational objectives
• Build strong, productive relationships with key suppliers and European manufacturing partners
• Lead supplier negotiations, commercial discussions and vendor performance management
• Work collaboratively across multiple business areas to understand requirements and develop effective supply solutions
• Identify opportunities to improve processes, efficiency, cost and service
• Drive a culture of continuous improvement across the function
• Work closely with the Logistics function and wider operational teams to ensure effective stock availability and supply continuity

Polkadotfrog are delighted to be supporting a well-established and highly regarded organisation in their search for a Senior Supply Chain & Procurement Manager.

This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced procurement and supply chain leader to take ownership of a high-performing function, shape its future strategy and make a genuine impact at senior management level.

As the Senior Supply Chain & Procurement Manager, you'll have full accountability for the supply and procurement function, leading a team of 13 across purchasing management, supervision and coordination.

The opportunity

As Senior Supply & Procurement Manager, you'll be responsible for developing and delivering an effective supply and procurement strategy aligned to wider business objectives.

You'll have the opportunity to:

About you

We're looking for an experienced senior procurement and supply chain professional who combines strategic thinking with a hands-on, pragmatic approach.

You'll ideally bring:

• Significant senior-level experience across procurement and supply chain management.
• Proven experience leading, developing and motivating teams.
• A strong and empathetic leadership style, with high levels of emotional intelligence.
• Demonstrable procurement, supplier and vendor management expertise.
• A track record of delivering continuous improvement, ideally supported by Lean Six Sigma, Lead Auditor or similar methodology/experience.
• The ability to develop strategy whilst remaining close enough to the detail to understand what is happening operationally.

Most importantly, you'll be someone who can lead from the front — able to set the strategic direction while engaging with the team, suppliers and stakeholders to make things happen.
