Job summary

Clancy is seeking a Protection and Control Engineer to design and deliver protection and control systems for electrical substations across distribution and transmission projects in the UK.

You will prepare functional specs, equipment schedules and drawings, procure plant, and provide technical support to suppliers while ensuring compliance with ENA, BS and IEC standards.

Qualifications

• Strong understanding of ENA, BS and IEC electrical engineering standards.
• Experience with high voltage substations, transformers and protection schemes.
• Ability to produce detailed single-line diagrams and equipment schedules.

Responsibilities

• Design and procure substation plant including switchgear and transformers.
• Prepare functional specifications and equipment schedules.
• Produce protection and control drawings and schematics.
• Liaise with suppliers and manufacturers to order plant.
