Job summary

Baker Hughes production Controls Systems in Nailsea seeks an experienced Senior Systems Engineer to lead tendering and support the Project Execution team in delivering commitments. The role spans design, risk management, and lifecycle delivery for complex subsea control systems.

As part of the interdisciplinary team, you will engage with clients, manage requirements, and contribute to design reviews and verification activities across projects, with start ASAP and a 12-month duration.

Qualifications

• Degree qualified in an engineering or marine discipline.
• Significant Subsea Control Systems experience.
• Strong prioritisation skills.
• The ability to be customer facing.
• The ability to work under pressure.
• Be comfortable with international travel even though it is not a common requirement.

Responsibilities

• Lead tendering efforts and produce technical write ups, risk registers and tender documentation.
• Review client specifications and ensure compliance with company and industry standards.
• Lead the technical execution of tender quotes from system level to equipment orders.
• Engage in client negotiations to secure optimal equipment solutions.
• Support the project execution team through architecture, design, integration, testing and acceptance.
