Job summary

Kintec Global Recruitment is seeking a Senior Geotechnical Engineer to support offshore foundation design and subsea technology in Aberdeen. You will apply advanced geotechnical analysis, soil-structure interaction, and numerical modelling to deliver foundations for offshore energy projects.

The role involves collaboration with multidisciplinary teams, developing design methodologies, reviewing data, and contributing to R&D in subsea foundations and trenching/new installations.

Qualifications

• Degree in Geotechnical/Civil/Offshore Engineering or related discipline.
• Experience in foundation engineering and soil mechanics.
• Experience analysing piles and pile groups.
• Strong soil-structure interaction knowledge.
• Ability to develop and review engineering calculations.

Responsibilities

• Perform advanced geotechnical analysis for subsea foundations and offshore structures.
• Develop foundation concepts for offshore and subsea applications.
• Model soil-structure interaction using FE or numerical methods.
• Analyze pile and foundation behaviour under static, cyclic, and dynamic loading.
• Interpret site investigation data (CPT, boreholes, lab tests).
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams and contribute to tool development.
• Support R&D programs in offshore foundations and subsea tech.
