Job summary

Kent is seeking a Geotechnical Engineer for offshore energy projects. You will manage geotechnical data, assess risk, and help design foundations such as piles and suction buckets in challenging ground conditions.

Responsibilities include geotechnical analyses, liaising with multi-disciplinary teams, and producing design reports and briefs for Concept through Detailed Design stages.

Qualifications

• Degree in geotechnical engineering or related field.
• Strong understanding of geotechnical data interpretation and risk assessment.
• Experience with offshore foundation design is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Manage incoming geotechnical data and assess ground/design risk and uncertainty.
• Interpret data to determine parameters for design.
• Design pipelines and foundations for variable ground conditions (soils, chalk, rock).
• Perform geotechnical analyses, including FEA and drivability assessments.
• Collaborate with multi-disciplinary teams to deliver Concept, FEED and Detailed Designs.
• Produce design bases, briefs and reports.
• Respond to comments and technical queries.

Project Scope

Kent is looking for Geotechnical Engineer for Offshore Energy project

Deliverables of the individual contactor:

• Managing incoming geotechnical data, ground/design risk and uncertainty.
• Interpreting geotechnical data to determine parameters for design.
• Designing a range of foundations (driven piles, drilled and grouted piles, monopiles, suction buckets, etc.) in variable ground conditions (soils, chalk, rock, and other challenging ground conditions such as carbonate and glauconitic soils).
• Undertaking geotechnical analyses, including FEA and drivability assessments.
• Liaising and collaborating with multi-disciplinary teams, to deliver Concept, FEED and Detailed Designs of foundations.
• Producing documents such as design bases, design briefs, design reports.
• Responding to comments and technical queries.
